Winner of the Suburban Handicap (G2) at Belmont Park on July 5th. Behrens has taken the lead in the race for Horse of the Year honors for 1999. He is on a four race win streak, which began when he captured the Gulfstream Park Handicap (GI) in Florida. He then won the Oaklawn Handicap (GI) during a severe thunderstorm that turned the track into a virtual lake. His most impressive victory came in the Mass Cap (G2), where he defeated Running Stag and 1998 3-year-old Champion, Real Quiet. Shown following his 1997 victory in the Buick Pegasus Handicap (G2).
