The image below is a video image. Becuase there are 10 frames in this sequence of pictures of Free House... it takes approximately 3 to 4 minutes (depending on your modem speed) to fully download, then it will play back at a faster rate. Free House is shown here in the paddock of Del Mar racetrack before his impressive victory in the Pacific Classic (G1).

Free House

Free House entered the Del Mar paddock in typical fashion--low key. The two horses who everyone thought were the main competition (Touch Gold and Gentlemen) had been receiving most of the press during the weeks leading up to the Pacific Classic.

Free House had only started once this year, however, he won his race easily and with authority. Yet, just like last year with Silver Charm, Captain Bodgit and Touch Gold taking the headlines... Free House was considered to be a touch below the two stars of the day, Gentlemen and Touch Gold.

The immense crowd that surrounded the paddock may have bet with their heads, but in their hearts... Free House was the horse they wanted to win. He deserved it. After a year of being the underdog in a host of classic races, we were all hoping for him to show the world just how good he really was.

Each time he circled the walking ring, you could hear the crowd shouting... "Go get 'em Free House!"... "Go Freebie!" Maybe he was listening. The crowd went wild as the gray stormed home 3 lengths to the good of Gentlemen. Free House is on a roll!
