Allen's Prospect - b.h. 1982 Mr. Prospector-Change Water, by Swaps

A winner of three races from seven and $56,100 in earnings, Allen's Prospect is a half-brother to the 1994 Broodmare of the Year, Fall Aspen, dam of eight stakes winners, the most notable of which is Timber Country (Woodman, by Mr. Prospector), the 1994 Champion 2 Year Old Colt, and Preakness Stakes (G1) winner the following year.

He retired to the Pons Family's Country Life Farm in Bel Air, Maryland and has sired 32 stakes winners to date and has been North America's Leading Sire by Winners on several occasions. In 1998, from 162 starters, Allen's Prospect, sired 107 winners, finishing second to Mr. Prospector's grandson, Black Tie Affair, whose 109 winners came from 195 runners. He ended the year in 37th place on the Leading Sires Ranked by Earnings with $3,050,505, and his leading earner, Im Out First banked $206,400, or only 6.7% of the total. With Allen's Prospect, the wealth is spread among all his offspring. His advertised stud fee for 1999 is $12,500.
