Skip Away at Hollywood Park.

Skip Away
1997 Older Horse Eclipse Award Winner
Undefeated This Year So Far!

Skip Away returns to the scene of his second most impressive career victory, Hollywood Park. Skip Away will always be known as "the horse who beat Cigar", however, another of his impressive victories was on the grounds of Hollywood Park in the Breeders' Cup Classic.

Skip Away burst away from the field on that day and cruised home to win the Breeders' Cup Classic by the largest margin ever... while setting a stakes record in the process.

Skip Away will be facing Gentlemen once again, but this time, Gentlemen is on his home turf. The one and only time the two horses have met, Gentlemen won by a neck as Skip Away closed ground with every stride in the Pimlico Special last year.

Skip Away now has Cigar's old friend and jockey, Jerry Bailey, aboard and Skip Away has changed his running style since he and Gentlemen met last year. The race should be an interesting one.
