Secret Firm

Secret Firm (Secret Hello) and Mint (Runaway Groom) had recently deadheated for the victory in the Amsterdam Stakes (G3) at Saratoga, but in the King's Bishop Stakes (G2) August 29th, these two longshots finished one-two over their more well-known rivals, Scatmandu, Limit Out and 1997 Horse of the Year, Favorite Trick, who was sprinting for the first time since his March 14 victory in the Swale Stakes.

Ridden by the country's leading rider (in number of wins), Edgar Prado, Secret Firm has now won 6 of 7 lifetime starts and had equalled the Laurel track record for 7 furlongs two starts ago.
