This son of Saddler's Wells won the 1995 Turf in time 2:42. Northern Spur fought hard down the lane to capture the race by a neck on a very soft turf course at Belmont Park under Chris McCarron, giving his owner, Charles Cella, his very first Breeders' Cup victory.
